Ingredients

  • 4 cups Mixed Greens for the base of the salad
  • ½ cup Diced Red Peppers
  • ¼ cup Cilantro chopped
  • ½ cup Fried Wonton Noodles
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • Dressing Ingredients Pan Asian Dressing:
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet Thai Chili Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Honey
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger grated
  • Protein Options optional:
  • 1 breast Grilled Chicken sliced
  • 1 fillet Grilled Salmon sliced

Equipment

  • Small mixing bowl

Method

  1. Gather all your ingredients. Wash the greens, chop the peppers, and finely chop the cilantro. If you're using protein, grill it ahead of time.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together sweet Thai chili sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. This dressing is the key to bringing your salad to life.
  3. In a generous bowl, combine the mixed greens, diced red peppers, and chopped cilantro. Toss gently to mix.
  4. Sprinkle the fried wonton noodles and sesame seeds over the mixed elements. These ingredients are your ticket to a crunchy texture that makes the salad more enjoyable.
  5. Before serving, pour the homemade dressing over the salad and toss everything once more. If you’re adding grilled chicken or salmon, layer that on top before serving.

Notes

  • Fresh Ingredients: Use fresh, crisp greens for the best taste and texture.
  • Customize Your Protein: If you’re not keen on grilled chicken or salmon, try shrimp or tofu for a tasty alternative.
  • Chill Before Serving: Let your salad chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. The flavors will meld beautifully.
  • Add a Crunch: For an added crunch, consider nuts. Sliced almonds or peanuts work wonders!
  • Batch Prep: Prepare the dressing in larger batches to save time during the week.
